Whether you’re addicted to drugs, alcohol, or prescription medication, overcoming addiction is hard to do on your own.

That’s why Maverick Behavioral Health exists.

We provide personalized addiction treatment from some of Texas’ most experienced practitioners. Here’s a closer look at our treatment options and how they can help you heal.

Who Needs Addiction Treatment?

It’s not always obvious that now is the time to pursue addiction treatment. If you’re still on the fence, consider whether you have any of the following signs:

  • Spending more and more time thinking about and procuring your substance of choice
  • Prioritizing your addiction over friends, family, and career
  • Experiencing withdrawal symptoms when you don’t use
  • Trying to stop using on your own and failing to do so
  • Spending more than you can afford on illicit substances

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, you would likely benefit from treating your addiction professionally. The next question is how to do that. This can vary based on where you’re at in the recovery process and your needs.

Understanding the Types of Treatment for Addiction

Addiction treatment is a multi-step journey. It starts with detox, moves into rehab, and then ends with a personalized aftercare program. This overview of each phase will help you understand where you’re at in the healing process.

Detox

Every recovery journey starts with detox. This is when the body removes the last traces of illicit substances from its systems. It’s a time when you may experience intense cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Some of these symptoms can be dangerous if you’re on your own.

That’s why we offer medical detox in our luxury facility. It provides a safe, comfortable place to detox so you can move on to the next phase of your recovery as quickly as possible.

Inpatient Rehab vs. Outpatient Care

After detox, you’ll be ready for rehab. This is when you work with a therapist, participate in group meetings, and perform the bulk of your recovery work. There are two main forms of rehab to consider.

The first option is inpatient addiction treatment. This involves moving into our facility and living there full-time while you go through rehab — potentially for several months. Studies have shown inpatient care is one of the most effective ways to overcome addiction.

Maverick also offers alternative forms of rehab through various outpatient programs. These let you come to our facility for treatment during the day but go back to sleep in your own bed at night.

Outpatient addiction treatment is more flexible and often costs less than inpatient alternatives. However, it gives you enough freedom to easily relapse if you don’t live in a supportive environment. That’s why we tend to only recommend it to patients who have a stable home life.

If you’re still deciding between inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment, we can help. Just tell us a little about your goals and concerns. We’ll make a personalized care recommendation based on our years of addiction treatment expertise.

Aftercare

Once rehab ends, you’ll need to transition your recovery back into an everyday lifestyle. That process can be complicated, which is why we offer aftercare. This is a long-term addiction treatment service that involves continuing to work with our therapists. You may even want to spend some time in our sober living facility to ease the transition.

How Does Addiction Treatment Work?

At Maverick Behavioral Health, your addiction treatment plan is built around your unique needs. We prioritize forms of care that will deliver the most value for the time you spend with us.

This usually starts with 1-on-1 therapy work. This is an opportunity to explore the root causes of your addiction with a doctor who has spent their life learning how to correct the problem. You’ll work together to create a personalized recovery plan that helps you gradually adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Most patients also spend time in group therapy. This is a chance to join a supportive community and learn from others’s experiences. Studies consistently show that patients who participate in group-based healing have better outcomes.

Finally, we may recommend medication, depending on the substance you’ve been abusing. It can help to make withdrawal symptoms and cravings more manageable while you work on a long-term recovery plan with our skilled practitioners.

Addiction Treatment FAQs

How Much Does Addiction Treatment Cost?

We know that pricing is an important factor to consider when choosing a treatment for addiction. That’s why Maverick accepts most major forms of insurance. This can reduce your out-of-pocket expenses significantly while providing funding for the care you need to heal.

You can contact us directly to get your insurance verified. Just tell us your plan details, and we’ll call your provider to see how much you would pay out-of-pocket for addiction treatment at Maverick Behavioral Health.

You can either live at home or in our facility. This will depend on whether you choose an inpatient or outpatient treatment option. If you choose to stay with us, you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay — including a TV in your room, luxurious amenities, and healthy meals.

In general, it takes anywhere from 30 to 90 days to go through rehab. That doesn’t include time spent in detox or aftercare. However, the amount of time you spend in treatment will depend on how quickly you make progress. This can vary based on a variety of factors, such as your commitment and the types of issues you’re experiencing.
