Who Needs Substance Abuse Treatment?
The first question you may have is whether now is the right time to pursue treatment for substance abuse. The best way to make that decision is to look for these common signs of problematic addiction in yourself:
- Using more and more of a substance to achieve the same feeling
- Spending more than you can afford on your substance of choice
- Prioritizing substance use over friends, family, and work
- Trying to quit on your own and failing repeatedly
- Deteriorating physical and mental well-being that feels out of control
If you’re experiencing any of these signs, now is the right time to consider substance abuse treatment. You can contact the addiction specialists at Maverick for a personalized care recommendation.
What Kinds of Treatment Does Maverick Behavioral Health Offer?
Maverick offers substance abuse treatment at every level of care. Most patients start with medical detox. This is when the body gets rid of the last traces of the substances you’ve been using. We recommend completing detox in our facility so you can be supervised by medical professionals and receive extra care if you need it.
After detoxing, you’ll be ready for rehab. Maverick offers several forms of inpatient and outpatient care to choose from. We also have aftercare services, like sober living. These can help you successfully transition your recovery from rehab into the real world.
What Kind of Treatment Do I Need?
The right kind of treatment for you will depend on various personal factors. For example, if you’re just starting out, detox is a must. But if you’ve already done that, you can choose between an inpatient or outpatient rehab program. Factors like your home environment and the severity of your addiction can impact which of these is right for you.
Is Inpatient or Outpatient Rehab Better?
One of the most important recovery decisions you’ll make is between inpatient and outpatient treatment. The key difference is that inpatient rehab involves living in our treatment center full time, while outpatient rehab lets you go home at night.
This means outpatient rehab is generally only a good fit for people who have stable, supportive home environments. However, inpatient rehab can be a good option for anyone. It gives you the maximum amount of support so you have the best chance of completing a successful recovery.
How Do I Pay for Addiction Treatment?
Costs are a major factor to consider when choosing an addiction treatment plan. However, Maverick accepts insurance from most major providers. This means your out-of-pocket costs could be very low if you sign up for one of our rehab plans.
The best way to figure out your costs is to contact us directly. We can verify your insurance by calling your provider. This will tell us exactly how much you would pay out-of-pocket for addiction treatment at Maverick Behavioral Health
Should I Spend Time in a Sober Living Home?
Many patients who complete rehab go on to spend time in one of our sober living homes. These facilities are designed to help you transition your recovery out into the real world. You may or may need sober living, depending on your unique situation.
But this isn’t a decision you need to make at the beginning of your recovery process. The answer may not become clear until you’ve gone through rehab and learned more about what you need for a healthy healing journey.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to discuss sober living with your care team. They can offer a personalized recommendation based on what they learn about you during rehab while keeping your preferences in mind.
What’s Non-12-Step Rehab?
Unlike many other facilities, Maverick follows a non-12-step approach to rehab. This just means we have our own philosophy, instead of following the direct teachings of the 12-step program.
Non-12-step rehab is very similar to 12-step programs in that you’ll still work with a therapist and participate in group meetings. It’s the philosophy behind those treatments that changes — not the treatments themselves.
You may find that our non-12-step framework is a better fit for your recovery journey. But if you’re unsure, just contact us. We can walk you through what your healing process would look like and help you make the right decision.
How Long Does Substance Abuse Treatment Last?
Substance abuse treatment usually lasts between 30 and 90 days. But this is just how long it takes to go through rehab. You’ll likely also spend some time in detox and aftercare. But detox is a relatively quick process at the beginning of the recovery process, and aftercare is something you can do while living a normal life.
Your aftercare could include spending a month or so in our sober living home. Or, it may only mean continuing to work with your therapist as you get back into your everyday life. Ultimately, substance abuse recovery is a lifelong process that ebbs and flows as your life challenges dictate.
